Mark Bandurak

Financial Planner

When Mark’s at work

Mark started with PIA in 2009 and now advises on all aspects of wealth management, including pensions, investments, tax planning, estate planning, trusts and protection.

In particular, Mark specialises in retirement planning and uses cashflow modelling to show clients how they can prepare for and navigate retirement tax-efficiently, using their plans and assets.

When Mark’s at home

Mark is married to Sian, and they have one young daughter, Frankie. Mark has always been a keen sportsman and previously captained Staffordshire County Football Association in his younger days, as well as playing a competitive standard of football locally.

Inevitably age, injuries and life commitments got in the way, and golf is now his main sport. When he’s not playing, he enjoys running on Cannock Chase and entering the odd organised event, having completed half and full marathons in the past.

We asked Mark

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Control the controllables; don’t worry about the rest.

What’s a talent or skill you possess that not many people know about?

I love to cook (and then eat). If I have a recipe, I am confident I can make anything. I’m also a master dishwasher loader.

Where is your favourite location in the world?

Woolacombe. We’ve been many times, and it provides instant relaxation; the phone signal isn’t great either, so it’s easy to switch off!

What’s your proudest moment as a financial planner?

Becoming qualified as a financial planner. Having started in the profession at the age of 18 and working through various roles, it was a great sense of achievement to pass the necessary exams.
