  • DipFA (Diploma for Financial Advisers)

    DipFA is the minimum level qualification you need to become a financial adviser, as laid down by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Financial advisers provide regulated financial advice to help people make the most of their existing wealth. This can include planning for retirement, advising on investments, helping people to make tax-efficient savings, and more.

  • CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice)

    The industry benchmark qualification for mortgage advisers, recognised as a mark of excellence and professionalism. Individuals attain the required understanding of mortgage policy and practice and how to effectively apply this when advising a customer.

When Lizabeth’s at work

Lizabeth is one of our longest-serving members of the team, having joined PIA in 1991. Lizabeth has a wealth of experience across all aspects of the profession.

Lizabeth believes in treating all clients with a holistic approach and can advise on all aspects of personal financial advice. She also advises in the areas of business protection, commercial mortgages, long-term care, and equity release, which require not only full qualification requirements but also considerable technical knowledge.

When Lizabeth’s at home

Lizabeth lives with her daughter, who is a qualified dentist and orthodontist, along with their seven horses and two dogs. Her spare time is spent looking after the horses and attending competitions.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Never take yourself too seriously and always be able to laugh at yourself.

What’s a talent or skill you possess that not many people know about?

I drive a 7.5-tonne truck and a tractor in my spare time.

Where is your favourite location in the world?

Of the places I’ve been to, I would say Corsica. Of the places I haven’t been to, I would say the Philippines.

What three things do you love most about your job?

Meeting people and helping them on their journey, facing new challenges, resolving problems, and working with like-minded colleagues.
