Qualifications

  • DipFA (Diploma for Financial Advisers)

    DipFA is the minimum level qualification you need to become a financial adviser, as laid down by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Financial advisers provide regulated financial advice to help people make the most of their existing wealth. This can include planning for retirement, advising on investments, helping people to make tax-efficient savings, and more.

When David’s at work

David joined PIA straight from school in 2000 and has been a financial planner since 2007. He advises on all areas of wealth management, and specifically those who are approaching or in retirement.

When David’s at home

Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Amy, and sons, Jake and Toby. He is a keen sportsman, and you’ll find him playing golf, managing and coaching his sons’ football teams or watching Wolves play. He also enjoys family walks at Cannock Chase.

Always remain humble.

What’s a talent or skill you possess that not many people know about?

I make the best beans on toast.

Where is your favourite location in the world?

Alvor, Portugal.

What’s your proudest moment as a financial planner?

Looking after three generations of a family – the grandparents were one of my earliest clients.
