Work in the community.

Supporting the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

We are Business Club Members for the local Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. We join with a multitude of local businesses that support the work of the theatre.

The idea of partnering with the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre started when we became “Friends of the Grand”, which enabled us to say thank you to our clients and members of our team by inviting them to many great shows and pantomimes. In addition, sponsorship of the Golf Day cements our connection with the wonderful team.

In 2025 we further solidified our partnership with Wolverhampton Grand Theatre by sponsoring the Dress Circle bar – which will proudly be named The PIA Lounge.

The Grand Theatre is a cornerstone of culture in Wolverhampton, and we are incredibly proud to be part of its next chapter. The PIA Lounge represents not only a beautiful and welcoming space for theatre-goers, but also a symbol of what can be achieved when local businesses and cultural institutions come together with a shared purpose.

This partnership is more than just a sponsorship — it’s a reflection of our long-term commitment to supporting the city, celebrating its creativity, and investing in its future. We are honoured to contribute to the Grand Theatre’s legacy and excited for what lies ahead.

Our relationship with Weston Park

Weston Park and Educating Kids Outdoors support schools to embed outdoor learning into their school development plan. We sponsor the Orchard Hive, which opened in 2025. This new purpose-built space enhances the outdoor learning experience for countless children who visit Weston Park.

It provides a learning space for visiting school pupils to discover, learn, create and engage with nature as part of the estate’s growing education programme, which is delivered on site by education specialist Educating Kids Outdoors (EKO).

We began working with Weston Park 14 years ago when we sponsored a series of “Discovery Workshops” as part of the estate’s summer visitor programme. Since then, our partnership has gone from strength to strength and the latest funding provided enables EKO to expand its educational programme and support more schools to embed outdoor learning into their school development plans.

In the summer of 2025, Weston Park have curated an interactive story trail ‘Oli & Nel’s Hare-Raising Adventure: The Tale of the Lost Lyrebird,’ which follows the story of Weston’s resident hares. We have proudly sponsored one of the hares, called “The Listener” . Here’s Mike’s granddaughter (Mark’s daughter), Frankie discovering our sponsored Hare, she seems happy to find The Listener!

Causes that align with our values.

We’re making the local Wolverhampton community a little brighter with our additional charity partnerships and team volunteering opportunities:

  • Compton Care supports families living with life-limiting conditions. Instead of sending out Christmas cards, we decided to donate £1,000 to the charity instead. In 2024, we sponsored the Tree of Light for Compton Care. This cherished event provides a meaningful way for the community to remember loved ones during the festive season, while supporting the vital services Compton Care provides. Our sponsorship helps ensure this beautiful tradition continues to bring comfort, hope, and inspiration to patients, families, and supporters alike. At PIA, we deeply value compassion, care, and community – principles that resonate with the remarkable mission of Compton Care. We are proud to support an organisation that upholds these values and demonstrates humanity at its very best every single day. Read more about the Tree of Light here
  • Each year, we donate to Best Foot Forward, a community initiative devised to raise funds for charities and organised by the Rotary Club of the City of Wolverhampton. They use the funds to support different charities in the local area.
  • The Alan Edward Higgs Charity provides grants to organisations and charities that improve the lives of children and young people experiencing hardship and disadvantage. Our team has taken part in the annual football tournament which this year raised an incredible £27,000 for their chosen charity The Mary Stevens Hospice.
  • We support the Wildside Activity Centre. Their mission is to provide enjoyment of the outdoors by offering adventurous and environmental activities, promoting physical and mental health and wellbeing, personal development and an underlying appreciation of the natural world.
  • We support and volunteer with the Friends of Essington, an organisation that is enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Essington and surrounding areas by protecting and enjoying the natural and built environment, promoting recycling and energy conversation.
